Brendan Guy

  • Brendan is our Director and Founder of G&A. He started the firm in 2002, and has grown G&A into what it is today. 

    Brendan has over 25 years of experience in legal practice. He prides himself on providing clients with service excellence, at a price point which makes financial sense for each client’s specific needs. Brendan has experience advising and assisting clients from every possible industry. He has appeared and represented clients in multiple Provinces, nationally, at the CCMA, Bargaining Councils, Labour Court, and Labour Appeal Court.

    Despite having particular expertise in litigation, Brendan is also an experienced mediator, and regularly assists clients with day-to-day and strategic employee relations advice and documentation, as well as chairing disciplinary, incapacity, and grievance hearings.

    Brendan has built a firm where we are partners with our clients. G&A is not about generic and copy-paste solutions. We tailor our service to each unique client.

Associate Director
(BJourn LLB)

Stacy Moreland

  • Stacy is an Associate Director at G&A, and a member of the senior team. Stacy completed her articles of clerkship with G&A, and was admitted as an attorney in July 2016.

    Stacy has over 10 years of experience in the practice of Labour Law. In addition, Stacy has forged her own specialized litigation practice within G&A, where she manages the majority of the firm’s Labour Court litigation – and review applications in particular. However, Stacy also regularly appears in the CCMA, various Bargaining Councils, as well as the Labour Appeal Court. Stacy’s appearances on behalf of clients include multiple national jurisdictions, having represented clients in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and Gauteng.

    As well as her litigation practice, Stacy assists clients with day-to-day and strategic employee relations advice and documentation, and frequently chairs disciplinary, incapacity, and grievance hearings.

    Stacy is known for her meticulous attention to detail, which, in combination with her extensive expertise, allows her to provide her clients with a superior product and service.

Associate Director

Lisa Szöke

  • Lisa is an Associate Director at G&A, and a member of the senior team. Lisa completed her articles of clerkship with G&A, and was admitted as an attorney in February 2018.

    Lisa has previous experience in immigration and refugee law prior to joining G&A, and has over 9 years of experience in the practice of Labour Law. Lisa assists clients with day-to-day and strategic employee relations advice and documentation, employment equity programs, and frequently chairs disciplinary, incapacity, and grievance hearings. Lisa has experience in all forms of labour law litigation, but has particular expertise in CCMA and Bargaining Council litigation, and in urgent interdict applications at the Labour Court and High Court. Lisa has represented clients in multiple national jurisdictions, including the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and Gauteng.

    In addition to this, Lisa has created her own unique space within the practice of labour law and within our firm. Lisa has developed and facilitated multiple employee relations training programs for national and international clients. She has also gained significant expertise across international jurisdictions within Southern Africa, assisting and advising clients on social issues derived from the internationally recognized standards of the World Bank and IFC. Lisa has worked directly with the World Bank in the Kingdom of Lesotho, the Kingdom of Eswatini, and the Republic of Malawi. Further to this, Lisa assists privately-owned South African businesses, who need to comply with IFC requirements, with the completion of their Human Rights Due Diligences, in terms of the United Nations Guiding Principles.

    Beyond G&A, Lisa is the Chairperson of the Board and manages the Board Legal Portfolio for Sisters Incorporated NPO (a non-profit and shelter for survivors of gender-based violence), and Lisa is a member of the Western Cape Chapter of SASLAW.

    Lisa is known for always staying calm under pressure, and is our unofficial G&A staff events coordinator.

Candidate Attorney

Morenike Tokosi

  • Morenike is a Candidate Attorney at G&A. She joined the team in 2022.

    Morenike assists the senior team, as well as advising clients on day-to-day employee relations advice and drafting documentation. She frequently chairs disciplinary, incapacity, and grievance hearings, and she represents clients at the CCMA and various Bargaining Councils. In addition to this, Morenike assists our clients with employment equity and skills development compliance, including facilitating reporting submissions on behalf of our clients.

    Morenike is known for her passionate approach to everything she does, ensuring that clients are prioritised every step of the way. She is also secretly an exceptional musical talent and cello player, and she is a proud animal welfare advocate.

Candidate Attorney

Rachel Meloyer

  • Rachel is a candidate attorney at G&A. She joined the team in 2024.

    Rachel assists the senior team, as well as advising clients on day-to-day employee relations advice and drafting documentation. She frequently chairs disciplinary, incapacity, and grievance hearings, and she represents clients at the CCMA and various Bargaining Councils. In addition to this, Rachel assists our clients with employment equity and skills development compliance, including facilitating reporting submissions on behalf of our clients.

    Rachel is known for her incredible focus and quiet manner, ensuring that the team and our clients can always rely on her to deliver. When Rachel does take a break, she has a quick wit, and an infectious laugh, making her a wonderful addition to the team. She is devoted to her family and has a passion for social justice advocacy and programs.

Dean Brogden

Office & Compliance Administrator

  • Dean is the Office & Compliance Administrator at G&A. He has been with the team since 2023.

    Dean’s previous experience includes administrative support within the financial industry, both in South Africa and in the United Kingdom.

    Dean assists as the front of house, as well as with all administrative support required by the G&A professional team. This includes managing the firm’s client onboarding and FICA compliance.

    Dean is known for his constant willingness to go the extra mile for the team, ensuring that the professional team’s lives are made a little easier. Outside of G&A, Dean is a published poet, and continues to enjoy writing and reading poetry in his spare time.

Pascale Guy

Office Manager

  • Pascale is the Office Manager at G&A. She has been involved in the firm since its inception.

    Pascale works off-site, but is ever-present in the emails and text messages of the team. Pascale keeps us all in line, and we are grateful for it. Pascale is also the main liaison to clients on issues of accounts and invoices.

    Pascale is known for getting things done, ensuring that the team is supported and clients are assisted. Outside of G&A, Pascale is an active cyclist, and is dedicated to her family and two Yorkshire Terriers.

Alice Licy

Office Cleaning Staff

  • Alice is a member of our Office Cleaning Staff at G&A. She has been with the team since 2019.

    Alice works part-time for G&A, and otherwise is employed as a Child Carer for a family in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. She has been involved in child care and domestic cleaning since 2015.

    Alice’s role is to keep our office shining and looking great. She is also responsible for managing our office’s cleaning goods stock-take, and ensuring everything is replenished timeously.

    Alice is known for her quiet manner and her beautiful smile. She is a loving mother and in her spare time, can be found enjoying the outdoors or singing in her church.
